Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Mechanic to support the upkeep and functionality of equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform routine maintenance on machines like paper mill equipment, presses, conveyors, motors, and belts to keep them running smoothly.
· Quickly find and repair mechanical issues to reduce downtime.
· Help install new machines and upgrades when needed.
· Work safely and follow all OSHA and company safety policies.
· Log maintenance work, parts used, and equipment performance.
· Work with Teams: Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance without disrupting operations.
· Keep track of spare parts and make sure important items are in stock.
· Do general maintenance around the building, such as fixing lights or plumbing.
Requirements:
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.
· Experience: 2–3 years in industrial maintenance, ideally in manufacturing or packaging.
Skills Needed:
· Able to troubleshoot and fix motors, conveyors, belts, and more
· Basic knowledge of electrical systems like PLCs and sensors
· Familiar with hydraulics and pneumatics
· Can read blueprints and technical manuals
· Physical Ability: Lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced setting
· Other Qualities: Good at solving problems, pays attention to detail, works well alone or in a team
· Certifications: Forklift, welding, or other relevant certifications are a bonus
· Schedule: Must be flexible with hours, including weekends or overtime
· Experience with corrugated equipment (presses, corrugators)
· Knowledge of predictive maintenance tools (like vibration or heat monitoring)
· Familiar with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
· Bilingual in English and Spanish is required
