Summary:
Under the supervision of the QC Assistant Manager the SSCT Lead provides support to all
sanitation and facilities programs. This position requires an individual who demonstrates a
professional demeanor at all times and has knowledge of safety procedures and Plant
Operations. This position will respond to everyday requests from designated Supervisor and
Manager, while maintaining a strong grasp of ongoing tasks related to the general Sanitation
Operations and staff. Under the direction of respective Supervisor and Manager, this position
will perform a number of duties and support production activities with internal and external
parties.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage, motivate and provide direct leadership to the sanitation staff.
2. Oversee the cleaning and sanitization of equipment, surfaces, utensils and plant
environment by providing direction, working ‘hands on’ to motivate and provide
technical support to all sanitation employees and other plant employees as
required.
3. Plan sanitation requirements and activities by establishing priorities, assigning
work and communicating with the team.
4. Audit and report non-compliance and take corrective actions to assure
compliance to all quality assurance food safety requirements on a regular and
daily basis
5. Plan, actively engage, communicate and provide direction with respect to
Sanitation and related activities in all programs such as Quality Assurance/Food
Safety, HACCP, Employee Relations, Health and Safety Programs etc.
6. Manage inventory and safely store sanitation agents and cleaning substances.
Qualification and Requirements:
• Understanding of Plant internal operations and facilities needs
• Very good communication skills, able to communicate accurately and clearly both orally
and in writing.
• Bilingual English & Spanish
• Basic safety knowledge
• Good problem solving and people skills
• Able to accommodate changing needs of management
• Good knowledge of Safety compliance and Deere Plant sanitation needs.
