Summary:
As a Business Development Manager, you will drive merchant acquisition and portfolio growth by building strategic partnerships that fuel transaction volume and long-term loyalty.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Acquire New Dealers – Execute targeted sales activities to onboard high-potential merchants into the ISPC network of merchants.
2. Maximize Existing Volume – Nurture and manage current dealer relationships to optimize transaction throughput and revenue.
3. Build Enduring Partnerships – Cultivate deep rapport and trust with merchants to create sustainable, mutually beneficial alliances.
4. Oversee Ethical Alignment – Provide proactive guidance and oversight on merchant sales and marketing initiatives to ensure full compliance with ISPC’s ethical standards.
5. Onboard & Enable – Set up new merchants with ISPC accounts and deliver hands-on training on the merchant portal for seamless daily operations.
6. Train for Success – Deliver finance-sales training to merchants, boosting their performance and profitability while aligning with ISPC’s strategic goals.
7. Resolve Disputes Swiftly – Deliver rapid, solution-oriented responses to customer disputes involving ISPC dealers.
8. Collaborate on Onboarding – Partner with LeverEdge management to seamlessly onboard new ISPC and LeverEdge dealers.
9. Drive Incentive Programs – Plan, participate in, and promote the annual merchant/dealer incentive vacation trip and other promotional initiatives.
10. Travel to Engage – Attend trade shows, conduct face-to-face dealer meetings, and lead on-site training sessions from time to time.
11. Mediate Dealer Conflicts – Manage and resolve merchant-to-merchant disputes over shared customers or personnel, preserving network harmony and fairness.
Qualifications/Education/Certifications:
A high-school diploma/GED is required for this position and bachelor’s degree is preferable to allow for this position to reach its highest potential. 4-6 years of sales experience is required for this position.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The Business Development Manager position requires experience in business-to-business sales and management. Strong communication, both orally and written, sales, and organizational skills are required. A bilingual person, proficient in both English and Spanish, would be a great asset, but isn’t a requirement. This position requires minimum math skills and high levels of language, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolutions skills. Proficiency with Microsoft office suite software is required.
