Assistant Manager - Entertainment Venue (Part-Time)

Help Lead the iSmash Crew!

iSmash Rockville is looking for a dependable, outgoing, hands-on assistant manager to help lead daily operations at our smash room and splatter paint entertainment venue.

You’ll work closely with the owner/general manager, learn every part of the store, and lead shifts. From checking in guests and leading safety briefings to supporting employees and resetting rooms, you’ll help keep the team organized and the guest experience running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

• Lead assigned shifts, including opening and closing the store.
• Learn and perform all iSmash Crew responsibilities, including guest check-in, reservations, sales, safety briefings, room preparation, cleaning, and resets.
• Monitor guest activity and address unsafe behavior promptly.
• Resolve guest concerns professionally.
• Coordinate parties, corporate outings, and other group events.
• Oversee shift transactions, cash handling, and opening and closing checklists.
• Assist with tracking inventory, monitoring supply levels, and coordinating restocking and purchasing, as well as going on supply runs as needed.
• Support scheduling, hiring, and other administrative tasks as needed.
• Keep the facility clean, organized, and ready for guests.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous retail, hospitality, entertainment, or customer service experience required.
• Prior shift lead, supervisory, or management experience strongly preferred.
• Strong judgment and the ability to take ownership of a shift.
• A friendly, confident communication style and comfort leading both employees and groups of guests.
• The ability to stay organized, solve problems, and remain calm during busy periods.
• A consistent focus on safety, cleanliness, and customer service.

Schedule and Physical Requirements

• Part-time schedule; evening and weekend availability required, including availability for busy shifts and group events.
• Work involves standing, walking, bending, heavy lifting, and moving supplies and breakable items.
• Must be comfortable working around loud noises, broken glass, and paint while following safety procedures and using required protective equipment.
