We are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer, either entry level or experienced, to join our team.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Entry-Level or Experienced Geotechnical Engineer based in Honolulu, HI. In this role, you will perform tasks such as conducting site investigations, analyzing soil and rock data, and preparing geotechnical reports. Fieldwork will be a regular part of your responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Help senior Engineer(s) to plan field Geotechnical Engineering investigation,
- Supervise Geotechnical Drilling crew
- Supervise Geotechnical Engineering technicians in the field and laboratory.
- Conduct site reconnaissance, laying out borings, one-call tickets and preparation of field instructions.
- Conduct field investigation such as logging test boreholes, collecting soil samples
- Analyze soil properties and assess site conditions.
- Ensure that project testing requirements are met and compliant with project specifications, requirements, and company policies or procedures.
- Monitor, test and document earth construction activist such as excavation and grading and trenching.
- Monitor, observe, test and document foundation constructions such as pile installation
- Help to write Geotechnical Engineering reports
Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil Engineering (M.S. Preferred)
- Strong communication skills with all parties at stake including staff members, clients and contractors.
- Can lift 60 lbs and work comfortably outdoors in a variety of conditions.
- Be self-starter, take initiative and own the projects.
