Duties
- Assist with tree pruning, trimming, and planting to promote healthy growth and landscape aesthetics
- Support tree removal operations using rigging techniques and specialized equipment such as bucket trucks and chainsaws
- Operate bucket trucks safely for elevated work on trees and landscape features
- Implement arborist rigging techniques for safe climbing, pruning, or removal of large limbs and trees
- Conduct site assessments to determine the best approach for tree care or removal projects
- Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to map and document tree locations and health status
- Follow strict safety protocols during all outdoor work activities to ensure team safety and compliance with industry standards
Experience
- Previous outdoor work experience or landscaping background is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with horticulture, dendrology (study of trees), or landscape maintenance is a plus
- Hands-on experience with tree care practices such as pruning, trimming, or planting enhances your candidacy
- Knowledge of equipment like chainsaws, bucket trucks, and rigging gear is advantageous but training will be available
- Growing experience in arboriculture demonstrates a strong foundation for this role
- Ability to adhere to safety protocols consistently while working at heights or around heavy machinery is essential
