Job Overview
We are looking for a SEASONAL, PART-TIME, Courtesy Officer to join our team. The Courtesy Team is our hospitality-based, security-guest services department responsible for managing access to our property via our gatehouse, as well as the patrolling of our 27 acre beach front residential community located near the north-end of Hilton Head Island.
College Students, Educators (who are off during the summer) & Retirees are encouraged to apply. Hospitality experience a plus, but not necessary, we will train you. This is an excellent summer job opportunity. Competitive Pay. Must be able to pass a drug test and background check!
Shift Available: This is a seasonal shift to adjust for the busy season and other factors impacting our business. The position will last into August/September. We can work with you if you are returning to school (as a student or educator). The position ends on September 12, 2026 at the very latest.
If you are applying for this job, you need to be available: Tuesdays (10am-6pm), Wednesdays (10am-6pm), Thursdays (10am-6pm) and Saturdays (10am-10pm). That is three 8 hour shifts (Tues/Wed/Thur) and a 12 hour shift (on Saturday). You will always be working with another staff member. We have NO other shifts available at this time. We have NO year-round positions available at this time.
JOB DETAILS
- Assist the primary shift officer during busy season.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents and guests.
- Enforce community rules and regulations.
- Patrol the property to ensure safety and security.
- Monitor and manage gate entry.
- Assist guests with the check-in process.
- Log commercial and vendor vehicles.
- Respond to incidents and complete necessary reports when needed.
- Work well both independently and as part of a team.
- This is an unarmed position.
