Jr. Legal Counsel - Korean Bilingual

The company is a global manufacturer of construction equipment with its North American headquarters located in Atlanta (Norcross), Georgia. Through a network of more than 195 dealer locations across the United States and Canada, the company provides a comprehensive portfolio of construction machinery, including excavators, wheel loaders, compact loaders, dozers, compact construction equipment, and specialized equipment designed to meet a wide range of customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and if needed, assist in negotiating general and commercial agreements.
• Draft and review documents required for corporate transactions.
• Manage investigations, litigations, and disputes.
• Monitor legislation, regulations, and compliance matters that could impact the business, including but not limited to EPA, CARB, ECCC.
• Provide and supervise legal training to internal clients.
• Manage relationship, and budget with external counsel.
• Draft and review termination letters to specified dealers as approved and requested by management.
• Coordinate with HQ Legal Team in Korea.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) graduate of an ABA approved law school in the U.S.
• Qualified to practice law in any state of the U.S. (Georgia bar admission preferred).
• At least 1 - 2 years’ experience in private practice or in-house.
• Experience in labor & employment law, immigration law, or construction equipment industry preferred.
• Excellent strategic and analytical skills.
• Demonstrate commercial awareness and the ability to apply legal knowledge and experience within a dynamic commercial environment.
• Able to manage expectations, deadlines and deliver within an appropriate timeframe.
• Able to manage conflicts and stressful situations in an efficient way.
• Excellent client relationship and able to collaborate efficiently across different teams and departments.
• Bilingual Korean and English is required.
