Financial Accountant - Korean Bilingual

Company Overview

The Company is a global manufacturer and supplier of electrical equipment and products, is looking to establish its presence in the North American market under its own brand name.

Position Overview

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close activities for the U.S. entity. This role requires a hands-on professional who can work independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance
• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes in accordance with US GAAP
• Prepare financial statements and reporting packages for headquarters in Korea (IFRS-based reporting support)
• Support reconciliation between US GAAP and IFRS, as needed
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable (AR/AP)
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
• Provide accounting support to affiliated entities within the U.S.
• Support external audits and assist with tax-related documentation
• Assist with income tax and sales/use tax related matters, as needed
• Support internal control compliance, including K-SOX documentation and testing
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of accounting data within ERP systems (e.g., Oracle)
• Assist in maintaining and improving accounting processes and internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3–7 years of experience in financial accounting
• Basic understanding of US GAAP and IFRS
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.)
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience supporting multiple entities or intercompany transactions
• Experience with internal controls or SOX/K-SOX compliance
• Exposure to income tax and/or sales/use tax matters
• Bilingual in Korean and English is required.
