HVAC Forensic Inspector
We seek a licensed Heating and Air Conditioning Service Technician to accept per assignment, hourly assignments evaluating HVAC equipment failures and damages for Insurance Company Claim Resolution. Candidate must be organized, professional, thorough and a good communicator. This is an opportunity to use field experience and knowledge for consultation purposes without the need to repair the equipment your looking at.
This position is an on call, part time, as needed, hourly position. Assignments will be assigned to HVAC Forensic Inspector on a case-by-case basis. Assignments and hours will fluctuate depending on weather conditions, technicians’ abilities, and availability.
Assignments will be for equipment malfunctions and events resulting in:
Boiler, Furnace, and Air Conditioning Equipment Damage
Floods, Soot Damage and Fires caused by HVAC Equipment Malfunctions and Failures
Identification as to the cause of equipment failures and building damage will be assessed in conjunction with company procedures. These include:
Inadequate or Negligent Service
Defective Parts or Equipment
Fuel Delivery Issues and Mechanical Breakdown
HVAC Forensic Inspector will be assigned losses in a specific geographical area and for each assignment will be compensated for:
- Initial phone Interview and Scheduling with Homeowner
- Phone Interview of Homeowner's HVAC Technician
- Travel Time and Mileage to Assignment Location
- Time on Site
- Travel Time and Mileage from Assignment Location
- Loss Details Research
- Time in Preparation of any Evidence shipping to home office
- Field Report Generation
