Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units, and ventilation equipment using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system inspections, and calibration to ensure peak performance
- Install new HVAC equipment following industry standards and schematics, including ductwork, piping, and electrical connections
- Conduct plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems and refrigeration lines to maintain system integrity
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for component fabrication or repairs
- Read and interpret HVAC design plans and schematics to execute projects accurately
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs of all repairs, installations, and inspections performed on-site
- Support property maintenance efforts by troubleshooting appliance issues and performing general mechanical repairs as needed
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in construction environments or field service roles
- Proven service technician experience with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings for complex HVAC installations and repairs
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles and system integration techniques
- Familiarity with plumbing systems related to refrigeration and climate control units
- Experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; skilled in equipment repair and maintenance procedures
- Mechanical experience with boilers, welding techniques, appliance repair, and property maintenance tasks
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating
drivers preferred for transportation between sites - Ability to work independently in the field while adhering to safety protocols
