What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Manager position at Isabel Stone Studios?
Build your career among Colorado's most extraordinary landscapes.
About Isabel Stone Studios
Isabel Stone Studios is a design-led landscape studio based in Carbondale, Colorado, caring for private residences across the Roaring Fork Valley, from Aspen to Snowmass and beyond. We are not a landscaping company, and the difference is everything. We treat every space, outdoor and interior, as living art that evolves with the seasons: intentional, enduring, and designed for the way our clients live. Our work reaches far beyond the lawn, from garden design and construction to container gardens, interior plantscapes, landscape lighting, and holiday design, with year-round stewardship that carries each property through every season, snow included. One studio, one editorial eye, one exacting standard.
There are plenty of landscaping jobs in Colorado. There is nothing like this one. Expert craftsmanship is our baseline, the setting is unmatched, and the mountain lifestyle here is one most people only dream about. But what truly sets us apart is our people: a small, close-knit team that works as one, where no one says "that is not my job," everyone pitches in, and we solve problems together. We build careers here, and we invest in the people who commit to us, to our clients, and to the standard we hold.
The Role
As an Account Manager, you are the steward of a portfolio of the valley's finest properties and the trusted face of Isabel Stone to the families who own them. You hold every landscape to the standard our name promises, you see what others miss, and you keep designers, crews, and clients moving as one. This is not about selling mowing. It is about caring for living art, and for the relationship around it.
We are looking for a career mindset: someone ready to commit to a studio that is committed to its clients, its craft, and a certain standard of living. This is a full-time, year-round seat, and the season shapes the work rather than ending it, from design and enhancements in the growing months to holiday artistry and snow through the winter. Seasonal arrangements are possible for the right person, though at heart we are looking for someone here for the long term.
What You'll Own
Day to day, this role is yours to run:
- A portfolio of exceptional estates. Roughly $750,000 in client work, and the trust of every family behind it.
- The standard on every property. You are in the field, holding the work and the crews to the Isabel Stone standard and catching what others would miss.
- The client relationship. Clear, constant, white-glove communication that keeps discerning clients with us for years.
- The next beautiful idea. You see how a property could be even more, and you bring it to life across gardens, plantings, lighting, and seasonal moments.
- The whole studio behind you. You partner with design, maintenance, construction, irrigation and lighting, and the office, so every promise you make is one we keep together.
Who You Are
You are a relationship builder at your core, someone who earns trust quickly and carries yourself with ease among affluent, design-minded clients. You have owned client relationships before, whether in landscape, design, luxury hospitality, or high-end real estate, and you know how to keep discerning people happy for years. You are at home in the field, able to read a property and guide a crew, and while a horticultural eye helps, we can teach the rest. Above all, you have a standard of your own and an eye for beauty, you take feedback and hard conversations in stride, and you are here to build something lasting.
You likely bring:
- Experience in a client-facing role where the relationship is everything.
- A background in luxury service, hospitality, high-end real estate, or design (a plus).
- Horticultural or plant knowledge, and familiarity with Aspire or a knack for new systems (a plus).
- A college degree (a plus).
What This Role Is Not
To be clear about the fit: this is not a show-up, snap-a-few-photos, and leave job. You are on the property because you know what to look for, and you leave it better than you found it. It is not a pure new-business sales seat; our sales team leads the hunt, and you take it from there, caring for each relationship and growing the accounts you hold. And it is not a desk job. This work lives outside, on the valley's finest grounds, for someone who wants to stay and grow with us.
The Rhythm of the Year
Isabel Stone runs with the seasons, and so does this role. From spring through the holidays you are full time and hands-on, out on the properties and leading the day-to-day of your accounts. When winter settles in, the pace eases. You stay connected with your clients and set up the season ahead, checking in on renewals, shaping enhancement ideas, and keeping contracts and orders moving, on a lighter schedule you manage around your own life. Your pay and your benefits carry straight through all twelve months, so the quieter season is yours to enjoy the mountains, ski, travel, or simply recharge, without your income skipping a beat.
Compensation and Benefits
This role pays $60,000 to $70,000 a year based on experience, paid steadily across all twelve months, so your income never dips when the season slows. On top of your base, you earn commission on the growth you drive, 4 percent on new work you bring in once it is paid in full (excluding renewals) and 2 percent on collaboration sales, plus an annual performance bonus that recognizes the standard you hold and the growth you deliver. And your full benefits stay with you every month of the year, in season and out:
- Health, covered the way you actually use it. Medical, dental, and vision through Cigna, with three medical plans to choose from, plus HSA and FSA options.
- A 401(k) match worth taking. A Safe Harbor 401(k) matching up to 4 percent of your pay, with immediate 100 percent vesting, Roth or traditional.
- A safety net for the unexpected. Optional life and AD&D, short- and long-term disability, and legal coverage at group rates.
- Real support for real life. A free, confidential assistance program for your whole household, plus optional pet insurance.
- Time to live. Paid time off and company holidays.
Who Thrives Here
Isabel Stone is a collaborative, female-led studio that holds a high bar through our busy season and keeps the atmosphere positive and low on drama. We believe in getting one percent better every day. The office is dog-friendly, and the people who thrive here take real pride in their craft, take direction well, and love being part of a team.
