Reporting to the Financial Services Manager, the Cost Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day financial reporting activities including cost analysis of finished goods and raw materials, metrics and dashboards to track daily production and inventory results, as well as labor and plant overhead spending. Responsibilities include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting is preferred

Reporting to the Financial Services Manager, the Cost Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day financial reporting activities including cost analysis of finished goods and raw materials, metrics and dashboards to track daily production and inventory results, as well as labor and plant overhead spending. Responsibilities include:
- Assist in monthly financial close including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Review and present financial results and KPI’s to operational departments. Assist in identifying and tracking cost control measures.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes
- Product costing and new product setup in ERP environment.
- Lead some special project work as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting is preferred
Experience:
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Clear understanding & dedication to meeting deadlines
- Ability to work well independently or as part of a team
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic working environment
- Ability to analyze & communicate data effectively & accurately
- Familiarity with JD Edwards would be an asset
