Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Data Analyst with strong SQL/SAS skills and healthcare data expertise, preferably in Medicaid or claims-based data. The role involves analyzing healthcare data, developing dashboards and reports, and supporting program evaluation, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Medicaid claims, eligibility, provider, and encounter data to identify trends and anomalies.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Develop and validate data extracts for state and federal reporting, including CMS submissions.
• Support program evaluation, policy analysis, audits, and performance reporting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and present actionable insights to non-technical audiences.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and follow data governance standards.
• Document reporting logic, data pipelines, methodologies, and assumptions.
• Apply machine learning and statistical methods for forecasting and risk stratification where appropriate.
  
  

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5 years of data analysis experience, preferably in healthcare or Medicaid.
• Strong proficiency in SQL/SAS and working knowledge of Python.
• 3 years of experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.
• Strong understanding of healthcare data, especially Medicaid or claims-based data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder presentation skills.

• Experience with state or federal healthcare programs.
• Knowledge of Medicaid managed care, LTSS, or waiver programs.
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or other cloud data platforms.
• Experience with machine learning or advanced statistical modeling.
