Job Summary
Ironwood Wealth Management is seeking an Associate Advisor / Client Service Administrator (AA/CSA) to support our Wealth Advisors and Client Service Team in providing comprehensive financial planning and a high level of client service.
This hybrid role combines financial planning and advisor support with hands-on client service responsibilities. The AA/CSA will assist with client meeting preparation, financial planning data and analysis, eMoney, client follow-up, CRM management, account paperwork, money movement, account maintenance, and custodian coordination.
The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, detail-oriented, client-focused, and interested in developing a long-term career in wealth management. This person should be comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities, asking questions, learning the reasoning behind financial planning decisions, and recognizing when advisor input is needed.
Responsibilities
- Gather, organize, and maintain client financial information used in the planning process.
- Prepare and update Client Position Statement (CPS), Cash Snapshots, financial plans, and other planning materials with Lead Advisor oversight.
- Maintain accurate client data and financial planning information within eMoney and the firm's CRM.
- Build basic planning scenarios, generate reports, and review information for accuracy, missing data, or items requiring advisor clarification.
- Prepare for and participate in client meetings, including gathering materials, taking notes, documenting action items, and managing follow-up.
- Support Foundations/Legacy client meeting preparation and ongoing planning needs.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding planning, administrative, and account-related needs.
- Prepare and process new account paperwork, account maintenance, money movement, transfers, distributions, contributions, beneficiary changes, and other client requests.
- Coordinate with Schwab, Fidelity, and other service providers and monitor requests through completion.
- Assist clients with eMoney and other firm-supported online resources.
- Provide ongoing CSA support to Wealth Advisors and work closely with the Client Service Manager.
- Maintain accurate CRM notes, tasks, activities, and client records.
- Work collaboratively across Advisory, Client Service, Portfolio Management, Tax, and Operations.
- Take ownership of assigned responsibilities, meet established deadlines, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and the client experience.
Desired Skills & Experience
- 0–3 years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, client service, or a related financial-services role.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
- Series 65 or equivalent applicable licensing required, or willingness to obtain within the timeframe established by the firm.
- Interest in pursuing the CFP® designation and continuing to develop financial planning expertise.
- Basic understanding of financial planning concepts, investments, and retirement account types.
- Client service experience strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting financial advisors, preparing client meetings, or handling custodial processes preferred.
- Familiarity with Schwab, Fidelity, eMoney, and CRM software preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow responsibilities through completion.
- Self-starter who takes initiative, seeks feedback, and works well in a collaborative, small-company environment.

This position is part of Ironwood's Associate Advisor career path and is designed to provide increasing responsibility as financial planning proficiency, experience, licensing, professional credentials, and client relationship skills develop.
Development opportunities may include advisor shadowing, client meeting participation, hands-on financial planning assignments, eMoney training, case review, and ongoing feedback from experienced team members.
Salary & Benefits
- Base salary: $60,000–$75,000 per year plus performance bonus, depending on experience and qualifications.
