A medical facility located near Pendleton, Oregon is seeking full-time, permanent HIM Manager - Health Information Management to join their team!
The HIM Manager - Health Information Management Job Opportunity:
- Full-time, direct hire position
- Mon-Fri schedule, day shift, business hours

- Oversees compliance with clinical documentation standards, including document indexing, record analysis, deficiency tracking and resolution, and maintaining timely, compliant chart completion workflows. Ensures records are retained in accordance with state and federal guidelines, and manages the timely, regulation-compliant release of health information. Responsibilities also include forms and template management, processing birth and death certificates, and coordinating data governance initiatives. Ensures adherence to audit requirements as well as all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
- This position also manages, organizes and coordinates hospital and clinic coding and clinical documentation improvement (CDI) functions.
The HIM Manager - Health Information Management Minimum Requirements:
- Must have RHIA or RHIT certification
- Must have coding certification through American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and/or American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC)
- Must have at least 3 years experience working in Health Information Management
- Must have at least 3 years progressive coding experience
- Must have at least 3 years healthcare leadership experience
