Required qualifications: Occupational Therapist Assistant
- The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) is a key member of the IDT, collaborating with other members of the Rehabilitation team to implement care plans and providing condition updates to the clinical team. Under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, the COTA provides restorative and rehabilitative occupational therapy services to participants at the center and in their homes to maximize independence, safety, and performance of ADLs.
This role is different because:
- Have lower patient volumes – no more seeing 3-4 patients an hour
- Form long-term relationships with participants rather than short-term rehab stints
- Collaborate with other therapists, providers, and disciplines
- Have work/life balance - no after hours of documentation
Qualifications: Occupational Therapist Assistant
- Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) associate’s degree from an accredited program
- Valid California OTA license, or proof of license eligibility
- Minimum of two (2) years of OTA experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population
- OTA knowledge necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needs
Pay: Up to $98,000.00 per year
