Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across designated routes, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
• Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques or equipment such as forklifts, ensuring cargo integrity and safety.
• Manage logistics cargo handling for various types of freight, including hazardous materials and dangerous goods, following all safety protocols.
• Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to optimize routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Transport a variety of trailers, including refrigerated units, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized equipment.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate pickups and deliveries while maintaining accurate logs of driving hours and cargo details.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver's License A with endorsements suitable for transporting refrigerated trailers, tankers, hazardous materials, or other specialized loads.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and freight delivery.
• Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and handling various trailer types such as flatbeds or refrigerated units.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, and hazardous materials regulations.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely when loading or unloading cargo.
• Experience with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments.
• Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures for different freight types.
• Valid medical certification for commercial drivers as required by DOT standards.
