Financial Analyst - Clearance Required

Job Description:

We are seeking a financial analyst to support our customer at the Commander, Naval Surface Forces Pacific Comptroller’s Office in San Diego, CA. This role will support the Comptroller’s office in financial analysis and planning, reviews and reporting, and execution monitoring.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Analyze current and prior fiscal year execution of baseline and overseas contingency operations (OCO) funds and other financial accounts as they pertain to Ship Operations and Combat Support Operations. Provide recommendations for standardization and automation of financial management processes.
• Analyze and develop solution sets for Surface Warfare Enterprise Financial Operations. Specifically, ensuring the integration of maintenance and supply chain functional decisions across the two TYCOMs.
• Provide detailed analysis of large financial data sets from CMP, SABRS and other databases using commercially available software such as Microsoft Excel or Access.
• Support Surface Warfare Enterprise financial reporting including routine execution monitoring, mid-year review and Certified Obligations.
• Recommend financial adjustments, to address significant, unforeseen operational readiness issues such as fact of life changes, emergent requirements, or program deficiencies. Develop Surface TYCOM strategies to deal with budget adjustments, mid- year review tasking and obligation validation. Provide analysis to ensure optimal buying power and utilization of assigned funds.

Here's what you need:

• Secret Security Clearance
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Expertise in Surface Warfare financial operations/systems (PPBE)
• 5 years of experience supporting TYCOM financial operations
• Knowledge of SABRS Cost Accounting and CFMS Financial Reporting
• Auditing and accounting experience from either afloat or ashore US Navy supply operations
• MS Excel and Access
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Strong task planning and organization skills

• Experience working within DON

• Active Secret Clearance

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equitable work experience

Compensation and Benefits:

The projected compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $88,000. There are numerous factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the role, work location, education/certifications, and a contract's Labor Categories.
