Portfolio Manager/Financial Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager/Financial Analyst to join our investment team, with a deep focus and expertise in fundamental equity analysis and a demonstrated track record of independent security selection within a long-term, fundamentals-driven investment philosophy centered on risk-reward and quality businesses. This individual will take a lead role in bottom-up equity research, developing and articulating investment theses, constructing and maintaining client portfolios, and serving as a point of contact for client communication.

●      Conduct in-depth fundamental research on individual equity securities, including financial statement analysis, valuation, industry positioning, and competitive dynamics

●      Develop and clearly articulate investment theses within the firm's investment committee for both equity and fixed income holdings

●      Monitor existing holdings in the firm's investment models on an ongoing basis, re-assessing theses as new information and company fundamentals evolve

●      Oversee portfolio asset allocation, cash balances, and risk exposures to ensure alignment with individual client objectives and risk tolerances

●      Prepare and review trades across client accounts, ensuring consistency with model portfolios and client mandates

●      Actively participate in weekly and monthly investment committee meetings as a collaborative member of a team-oriented research culture, contributing research findings and portfolio recommendations

●      Lead client portfolio reviews and serve as a trusted point of contact for existing and prospective clients on investment matters

●      Adhere to the firm's Code of Ethics, fiduciary standards, and continuing education requirements

●      Perform other related duties as assigned

●      Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, with a strong background in accounting, finance, or economics; CFA charter is required

●      Minimum 5-8 years of experience in equity research and/or portfolio management, ideally within a long-term, fundamentals-driven investment setting

●      Demonstrated ability to independently analyze and select individual equity securities, with a track record that reflects sound judgment and risk discipline

●      Deep understanding of financial statement analysis, valuation methodologies, business quality assessment, competitive positioning, and management's capital allocation track record

●      Experience with fixed income credit analysis, bond selection, and trading

●      Proven ability to build and manage relationships with high-net-worth clients

●      Outstanding oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex investment concepts clearly and confidently to clients and colleagues

●      Strong leadership qualities, sound independent judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively within a small, senior investment team with the initiative to work independently and proactively

●      High level of professionalism, integrity, and a client-first mindset

●      Confident self-starter who takes ownership of research coverage and portfolio decisions

●      Strong desire to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial small-company setting, taking initiative and embracing diverse responsibilities

●      Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), including advanced Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, macros/VBA a plus)

●      Experience with research and market data platforms such as FactSet, Capital IQ, or Morningstar Direct

●      Familiarity with portfolio accounting/rebalancing and reporting systems (e.g., Orion, Black Diamond, Tamarac, Addepar, or iRebal)

Compensation: Telos’s compensation model is designed to attract and retain exceptional employees through competitive total compensation and a strong support structure. The starting base salary plus applicable bonus and incentives will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities.
