Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Automotive Service Writer/Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary liaison between customers and the service department, ensuring a smooth and efficient repair process. This role requires strong communication skills, technical knowledge, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and listen to their concerns to determine vehicle issues or maintenance needs.
- Provide detailed service recommendations and explain repair processes in a clear, professional manner.
- Prepare accurate estimates for labor and parts, obtaining customer approval before work begins.
- Coordinate with technicians to schedule and prioritize repairs, ensuring timely completion of services.
- Communicate updates to customers throughout the repair process and address any questions or concerns.
- Review completed repairs with customers, explaining invoices and warranty information.
- Maintain accurate records of all services and transactions using dealership software.
- Promote additional services and products as appropriate, enhancing customer satisfaction and shop profitability.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Service Writer/Advisor or in a similar customer-facing role in the automotive industry.
- Strong understanding of automotive repair and maintenance processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency with shop management software
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in automotive technology is a plus).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
