Experienced Welder

As an Experienced Welder at Iron-Vac Trucks, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating steel tanks, truck bodies, and components used on custom septic and vacuum trucks. This role is hands-on and fabrication-focused, involving structural welding, fitting, assembly, and working from fabrication drawings to build high-quality equipment that is shipped across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weld steel tanks, frames, brackets, and truck-mounted components
• Perform MIG welding on carbon and mild steel materials
• Fit, tack, and weld parts according to fabrication drawings and build specifications
• Fabricate and assemble truck bodies, tanks, and structural components
• Grind, finish, and prepare welds for final assembly and installation
• Inspect welds and completed assemblies for quality and accuracy
• Assist with tank fabrication, mounting systems, and structural supports
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas
• Follow shop safety procedures and manufacturing standards
• Work closely with fabricators, assemblers, and production leads to meet build schedules

Qualifications:

Required:

• Previous welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
• Strong welding skills
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints
• Experience using fabrication tools and shop equipment safely
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical work throughout the day
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

Preferred:

• Experience fabricating tanks, truck bodies, trailers, or heavy equipment
• Experience fitting and assembling structural steel components
• Experience working in truck manufacturing or heavy equipment industries
• Basic mechanical or assembly experience
