What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mechanic position at Iron Mountain?
Iron Mountain is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join our Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) team. The ALM team is dedicated to providing customers with maximally efficient and secure hardware decommissioning and destruction services.
In this role, you will be responsible for performing general warehouse maintenance and mobile and stationary equipment maintenance duties.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Maintain Peak Performance: Perform routine mobile and stationary equipment maintenance (e.g., stand up/sit down forklifts, box trucks, wheel loaders, excavators, conveyors, balers, and shredders), including essential tasks like oil changes.
- Diagnose and Repair: Inspect and repair various pieces of equipment, diagnosing any issues to implement the proper solutions.
- Ensure Compliance and Safety: Execute general warehouse maintenance (including minor repairs) and adhere to safety regulations put into place by site management.
What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong Mechanical Acumen: Mechanically inclined with proven ability to inspect, diagnose, and repair diverse equipment.
- Proven Work Ethic: Strong work ethic with the ability to follow directions and work independently in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
- Effective Communication: Able to effectively communicate with management and maintain organized work and tool stations.
- Bonus Skills: Experience in welding and fabrication is desired.
