What are the responsibilities and job description for the Memory Care Resident Assistant FULL TIME position at Iron County Medical Care Facility?

Duties and responsibilities:
- Handling and serving residents in their dining experience in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort.
- Adhering to instructions and care plans.
- Performing duties in accordance with established methods and techniques and in conformance with recognized
standards.
- Make beds
- Measure and record side rails as required for the state of Michigan 7 zones of entrapment.
- Pass fresh water.
Other duties as directed that does not require certification or specialized training beyond their scope.
- Recognize and report resident changes in condition as it relates to the dining experience.
Job Specifications
- Pass and collect trays, feed residents, pass nourishments.
- Report falls or occurrences outside of normal routine resident routine to supervisor.
- Report defective equipment to supervisor and maintenance.
- Transport wheelchair residents to activities or therapies, per care plan.
- Attend mandatory meetings and at least twelve (12) in-service annually; read monthly newsletter.
- Documents according to guidelines.
- Follow rules as outlined in Resident’s Rights and Corporate Compliance.
- Follow Infection Control policies and procedures.
- Assist with CPR emergencies.
- Other support duties as directed by the Administrator, Director of Nursing or supervisor.
- Follow established policy and procedures of the ICMCF, including following dress code, etc.
Education and Training:
Successful completion of an eight-hour State-approved Dining Assistant curriculum. No flags against applicant’s name upon background check. Must be a minimum of 16 years old.
