What are the responsibilities and job description for the CT Technologist - Part Time position at IRMC?
THIS POSITION IS ELIGIBLE FOR A $10,000 SIGN ON BONUS*
In this role you will be:
- Perform CT procedures for diagnostic purposes as prescribed by physicians.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain the scanning process, and ensure their comfort and safety.
- Operate CT equipment, including positioning patients correctly and adjusting machine settings.
- Administer contrast materials as needed, under the supervision of a radiologist or per protocol.
- Maintain accurate patient records and properly label and store images using PACS.
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and infection control procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure diagnostic quality.
- Monitor equipment functionality and report any technical issues or malfunctions.
- Assist in maintaining supply inventory and ensure exam rooms are clean and prepared.
- Participate in ongoing training, certifications, and quality assurance programs.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- EDUCATION: Successful completion of an approved school of radiologic technology required
- EXPERIENCE: 2 years as a general radiologic technologist required
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
- Registered with the ARRT as an RT(R) and registered in or working toward certification as an RT(CT)
- CT certification obtained within 1 year of hire
- BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire
