About the role

The Manager of Day Habilitation Services is responsible for the overall delivery of Day Habilitation Services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position requires communication with individuals, families and staff to ensure that the personalized plan is developed to ensure quality services are provided in compliance with agency policies and funding source regulations. The Manager supervises the quality of the services provided by Day Habilitation workers and ensures the safe and health of the people we support. This position reports directly to the Director of Day Services.

What you'll do

  • Ensures compliance with the 12-performance metrics (please refer to page 3) established by IRI as the measuring criteria of quality services and successful survey outcomes.
  • Develop individualized Day Habilitation plan with individual input and in accordance with the ISP, as required by OPWDD regulations including timeliness of completion and appropriate distribution.
  • Provide on-going supervision and support to all staff members, including hiring, training, scheduling, development and discharge.
  • Enroll new individuals on an on-going basis to ensure that services are provided at maximum capacity.
  • Prepare monthly reports as required for Medicaid funding, as well as monthly trend reports to Program Director.
  • Review case notes for progress, accuracy and completeness on a timely basis.
  • Act as liaison with funding sources, families, other agency staff, and within agency departments to ensure effective delivery of services.
  • Manage petty cash in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Verify that all service billing submitted is sufficiently documented to support billing and submit to Director of Day Services weekly.
  • Manage budget on a monthly basis.
  • Recommend systems and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and quality services.
  • Attend weekly supervision with immediate supervisor.
  • Participate in committees and interdisciplinary team meetings as required.
  • Report all incidents and provide for corrective measures in a timely manner.
  • Attend trainings on an on-going basis.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by immediate supervisor.

What you bring

  • Associate’s degree in the field of Human Services required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, preferred
  • Five years of experience providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities, in an OPWDD certified setting. At least 2 years in a management capacity, with experience supervising staff at various sites. Knowledge of word processing software
  • Valid NYS Drivers License
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and strong communication skills

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday
7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
