IREN is currently looking for a Laborer to join our Childress, TX team. Joining our Maintenance Crew, the right candidate will be highly motivated, proactive, and reliable. Responsibilities
· Perform routine and preventative maintenance activities, such as changing filters, waste bins, upkeep on a variety of equipment, landscaping, building upkeep and inspections.
· Operate heavy equipment such as telehandler, forklift, skid steer, aerial boom lift and sand/plow truck to lift, move or place equipment or materials (e.g., snow removal, pallet placement).
· Inspecting, cleaning, lubricating and refilling equipment.
· Ability to troubleshoot problems, and then formulate and implement short- and long-term solutions.
· Ensure all work is conducted in a safe and efficient manner according to guidelines and regulations.
· Assist with other facility repairs and special project execution.
· Support the Maintenance Supervisor[HM1] in the development and implementation of short- and long-term maintenance programs and standards.
· Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and make repairs as needed.
Desired Skills include:
· Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook with the ability to navigate the internet and utilize electronic timecards.
· Be self-motivated, reliable, flexible and proactive with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor industrial settings, including adverse weather conditions and at heights.
· Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in challenging conditions.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with leadership and colleagues.
· High energy and confident individual with demonstrated organization, prioritization and critical thinking skills as well as proven active listening skills.
Desired Qualifications include: [HM2] [ND3]
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience and knowledge on operating equipment such as telehandler, skid steer, forklift and aerial boom lift or equivalent experience with other heavy machinery considered a strong asset.
- Experience with power tools and how to operate them safely is required.
· Experience in a fast-paced growth environment.
Other Important Requirements:
- A clear Criminal Record Check is required.
- Must provide own steel toed work boots, all other PPE supplied.
- Must be able to reliably commute to the operations site daily or have plans to relocate before starting work.
