Account Manager – Gas Services

Are you a driven and competitive sales professional with a proven track record? If so, Irby Utilities is looking for you to join our team as an Account Manager supporting our Gas Services business. In this role, you’ll forge lasting business relationships by pursuing opportunities and delivering first-in-class customer service. You will travel within your territory, meet with customers, and make a positive impact on your local community while delivering exceptional services and solutions to our valued partners.

What You Will Do

  • Client Engagement: Travel within the sales territory to conduct face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers consistently.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive revenue by developing new customer relationships and increasing business.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain long-lasting relationships with customers.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, customer accounts, and sales.
  • Market Awareness: Monitor industry competitors and market conditions to understand customer requirements.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to build, maintain, and expand brand presence.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed about industry trends, company products, and solutions.
  • VMI Oversight: Provide oversight of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs.
  • Inventory Analysis: Review inventory trends, forecasts, and historical demand, and coordinate with Inventory Control Analysts and Inside Sales to set appropriate replenishment levels.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Identify and resolve inventory, billing, and delivery discrepancies to ensure customer satisfaction and operational accuracy.
  • KPI Management & Reporting: Track, manage, and report key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Capital Project Oversight: Coordinate and support capital project material needs and delivery schedules with Irby warehouse operations.

What You’ll Need

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Proven outside sales experience (3 years).
  • Skills:
    • Strong consultative and negotiation skills.

    • Excellent organizational and presentation abilities.

    • Effective communication and exceptional customer service skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
