Associate Director of Strategic Pricing

Overview: The Strategic Pricing Associate Director – Value-Based Pricing & Visualization will join a high-impact team within the Strategic Pricing and Partnerships group in the R&D Solutions Global Business Unit. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on analytical depth, has a passion for quantifying value, and can translate complex data into actionable pricing strategies and compelling visual narratives. You will lead the pricing strategy for new and existing offerings, with a focus on value-based pricing models that align with customer outcomes and market dynamics. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in statistical analysis, pricing mechanics, and data visualization, with a curiosity for emerging technologies such as agentic AI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead value-based pricing assessments for new and existing IQVIA offerings, including cost modeling, pricing structure design, and market positioning.
• Collaborate with Finance, Product, and Business Line leadership to build and validate cost bases and pricing recommendations.
• Conduct statistical and scenario-based analyses to support pricing decisions and go-to-market strategies.
• Develop visualizations and tools to communicate pricing insights using Illustrator, D3.js, JavaScript, or similar platforms.
• Explore early-stage applications of agentic AI in pricing and cost modeling, particularly in evaluating the cost structure of autonomous agents.
• Create and present business deliverables including pricing strategies, value models, and opportunity assessments.
• Coach team members on pricing methodologies and visualization best practices.
  
  

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Deep experience in value-based pricing, cost modeling, or strategic pricing roles.
• Strong statistical modeling and data analysis skills using R, Python, or similar tools.
• Advanced Excel skills including model development, pivot tables, and scenario analysis.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Adobe Illustrator, D3.js, JavaScript, or Tableau.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex ideas to senior stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest or familiarity with agentic AI concepts and their potential impact on pricing and cost structures.
  
  

Education and Experience:

• 10 years of professional experience, including 2 years in pricing or go-to-market strategy roles.
• Advanced degree (MS, PhD, or MBA) in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Business, or related field preferred.
• Experience in management consulting or multinational organizations is a plus.
• Proven track record of presenting insights to executive leadership and driving strategic decisions.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $81,700.00 - $227,400.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
