Facilities Supervisor

Job Summary:

Leads a team of facilities technicians to maintain the building, its surrounding premises, production plant service including preventive Maintenance and upgrading of facility equipment and electrical services.

Onsite: Meridian, MS

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for preventive and routine maintenance; overhaul and modification of building and production equipment; emergency repair of buildings, equipment and utility systems.

· Assumes responsibility for complete in-house janitorial service and ground maintenance.

· Assumes responsibility for site environmental compliance programs.

· Assures all Federal, State and Local permits are obtained and continue current.

· Acts as liaison to public utility, environmental and energy agencies.

· Assures that all electrical, mechanical and construction work is performed in conformance with applicable codes and regulations.

· Assumes responsibility of Safety Officer. Assures that each employee is formally trained in safety, which includes knowledge of hazards and protective measures required to prevent injury or illness.

· Establishes and maintains the building's operational flexibility. Evaluates and carries out improvements for higher operational efficiency in plant utilities.

· Responsible for all electrical safety.

· Plans and ensures monthly budget accuracy.

· Plans, coordinates and ensures all facilities works compliance with required specifications, regulatory requirement, quality of work and safety standards.

· Supports and assists the Functional Manager with day to day activities.

· Drives continuous improvement in all aspects of facilities operations in terms of cost, performance and efficiency.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

This role includes some physical/manual task and basic IT knowledge, including desktop setup and troubleshooting, and be proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office

Skills Requirements:

· 2-4 years of related experience.

· And/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.

Education Requirements:

High school diploma, G.E.D., Trade/Vocational School certificate or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements:

Frequently required to stand, reach, bend, sit and/or walk during scheduled shift. Occasionally exert up to 35 lbs. of force to push, pull, lift or otherwise move objects. Must have manual dexterity and visual acuity to safely use necessary tools/equipment. Must have visual acuity to prepare and analyze data and/or to view a computer terminal. Consistent attendance is an essential function of the job.
