Key Responsibilities:
· Make outbound and receive inbound collection calls to resolve delinquent accounts in a professional and compliant manner.
· Negotiate and set up payment arrangements, settlements, or hardship plans.
· Accurately document all borrower interactions in the collections system.
· Utilize skip tracing tools and methods to locate customers as needed.
· Ensure adherence to all applicable federal and state regulations (FDCPA, TCPA, FCRA, etc.) and company policies.
· Handle sensitive customer information securely and with discretion.
· Consistently meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) including recovery goals, call volume, and call quality.
· Stay current on student loan products, payment options, and compliance updates.
· Work effectively from a home-based environment while maintaining productivity and professionalism.

Qualifications:
· Required:
o High school diploma or equivalent
o 3 years of experience in collections, specifically in cash collections and/or private student loan collections
o Strong verbal communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
o Working knowledge of FDCPA, TCPA, and related consumer protection laws
o Comfortable working in a high-volume call center environment
o Proficiency in collection software, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office
· Preferred:
o Experience with student loan servicing systems (e.g., Navient, Nelnet, Fiserv)
o Associate degree or higher
