We’re looking for a reliable and skilled Computer Repair Technician to join our team part-time. You’ll handle hands-on repairs, upgrades, and troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and gaming PCs in our Bowie location. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, customer-focused, and passionate about technology.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues on Windows and macOS systems
- Perform system tune-ups, virus/malware removals, and OS installations
- Upgrade components such as RAM, storage, GPUs, and power supplies
- Build and test custom gaming and business PCs
- Back up and recover customer data safely
- Communicate repair updates and recommendations to customers clearly and professionally
- Maintain accurate repair records and manage parts inventory
- Assist with shop organization and equipment setup
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications a plus)
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on computer repair experience (shop or freelance)
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and PC hardware
- Basic networking and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Part-time: 15–25 hours per week
- In-person: Bowie, MD repair shop
- Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience starting at $15 /hourly
