Field Engineer

We're looking for a Field Engineer (Construction) with an uncompromising commitment to safety and quality to join our Project Delivery andConstruction team in Somerset, New Jersey.

Project Site: Rahway, NJ

This job is responsible to support the Site Superintendent for oversite of work progress, subcontractor manpower and correct work coordination between the trades. The primary focus of this position is to assist to ensure that the subcontractor and vendor work is completed safely and in compliance with the contract documents and project schedule. Further, this position assists with collecting and assembling on site testing reports, inspection reports,Operation and Maintenance manuals and As-Built Drawings for close-out documentation to the IPS Commissioning/Validation team and client.

As a member of a collaborative team, you'll work with leadership to conduct pre-bid walk-throughs and de-scope meetings. You'll provide support in the development and maintenance of preconstruction, construction, and closeout execution plans along with schedules. You'll develop a working knowledge of the project budget for assigned trades and identify exceptions to the project budget throughout the execution of the project. As changes are needed, you'll develop change control documentation, including financial. You'll ensure that all submittals meet project requirements and are distributed, reviewed, and stored. Other responsibilities will include constructability reviews, evaluation of vendor and subcontractor invoices, and evaluation of requests for payment against actual performance.

As a Field Engineer, you'll provide daily reports of site conditions and review job safety analysis documentation. You'll regularly interact with clients on site, listening to their needs, and positively demonstrating the IPS's focus on client experience. You'll build strong relationships as you work with clients to provide solutions, all while building life-changing facilities.

The salary offered for this role is between $79,000 and $106,000, but the actual salary offered is dependent on experience, skill set, and education.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related discipline or an equivalent technical degree.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience (may be Co-Op or Intern experience) in Construction, Engineering, Project Delivery or a related discipline

Safety

• This position will require the individual to be located near assigned client project sites.
• You will visit Client sites and will be required to adhere to stated safety rules.
