Our capabilities include PCB assembly, cable & wire harnesses, box builds, electronic rework/repair, and related production support.

IPS Assembly is seeking an Electronics Manufacturing / PCB Assembly Technician to support our growing production team. This is a hands-on manufacturing role focused on PCB assembly, soldering, SMT support, component handling, inspection, and general electronics production.

This position is a strong fit for candidates with an electronics, electrical engineering, manufacturing, or technical background who want to gain practical experience in electronics manufacturing. OPT students and recent graduates with valid work authorization are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities may include:

• PCB assembly and soldering
• Through-hole soldering
• SMT operation and line support
• Component placement and inspection
• Programming/flashing support
• Basic electronics assembly and rework
• Following work instructions, travelers, quality procedures, and production documentation
• Supporting production, material handling, and basic manufacturing tasks as needed
• Assisting with process improvements and production support when applicable

• Authorization to work in the United States
• Valid OPT work authorization is acceptable
• Willingness to work on-site at our Livonia, Michigan facility
• Interest in PCB assembly, SMT, soldering, and electronics manufacturing
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Willingness to learn and support multiple areas of production

Prior experience is helpful, but not required. Preferred qualifications include:

• Background in electronics, electrical engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical field
• Prior soldering, PCB assembly, SMT, or electronics lab experience
• Familiarity with hand soldering, through-hole components, SMT components, or basic inspection
• IPC knowledge or certification
• Experience working in a production, lab, or shop floor environment
