What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development – Electronics Engineering & Manufacturing position at GHI Electronics?
GHI Electronics designs and manufactures embedded electronics and provides engineering services across hardware, and firmware. Our team builds complete embedded solutions—from circuit design and firmware development to prototypes and production-ready electronics.
We are looking for someone who can bring in new customers for both contract manufacturing and embedded engineering services.
This role is focused on business development and relationships, not just marketing. The right person understands the electronics industry and knows how to connect with companies that need embedded development or manufacturing.
What You Will Do
- Identify and pursue companies that need embedded hardware or firmware development
- Generate opportunities for contract electronics manufacturing
- Build relationships with startups, product companies, and engineering teams
- Develop partnerships with firms that outsource embedded development
- Represent our engineering and manufacturing capabilities clearly to potential clients
- Help convert technical conversations into real projects
- Work directly with our engineering team to scope projects
What We’re Looking For
- Strong network in hardware startups, product companies, or electronics industry
- Ability to identify companies building physical products
- Experience selling engineering services and manufacturing
- Comfortable discussing hardware, firmware, and electronics
- Self-driven and entrepreneurial mindset
Compensation
- High commission on every deal you bring
- Recurring commission on long-term manufacturing and repeat business
- No cap on earnings
- Flexible structure (per deal, retainers, or revenue share)
