Adjunct Instructor- EMS, Hourly CE

Description

The Part-Time EMS Instructor will provide high-quality instruction and hands-on training to students enrolled in EMT and/or Paramedic programs. The instructor is responsible for facilitating classroom, lab, and potentially clinical education in accordance with state and national standards. The ideal candidate will bring real-world EMS experience and a passion for preparing the next generation of emergency medical professionals.

Job Duties

• Deliver engaging and interactive instruction in EMT/Paramedic courses (didactic, lab, and/or clinical).
• Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials following curriculum guidelines and accreditation standards.
• Provide timely feedback and evaluations to students on their performance.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and grades.
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of simulation labs and EMS equipment.
• Stay current with EMS practices, protocols, and state/national certification standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• Active Iowa EMT certification with EMS Instructor
• Ability to pass a background check, have a valid US driver's license and good driving record
  
  

Physical Demands

• The employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone and basic office equipment
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
• Ability to drive company owned or personal vehicle.
• Ability to lift up to 10lbs
