Essential Job Duties
- Operating handheld power tools to complete tasks and prepare materials.
- Safely use cutting equipment to cut materials as instructed.
- Utilize a chop saw or shear to cut metal to the appropriate length.
- Operate welders to assist with project assembly and demonstrations.
- Move and arrange heavy objects and manipulated welding equipment as directed.
- Assist faculty with setting up and organizing lab activities and classroom projects.
- Ensure the welding lab and classroom remain clean, organized, and sage for students and staff.
- Ability to handle highly confidential matters and materials with discretion.
- Must have working knowledge of computer software programs such as Word and Excel.
- Ability to learn new software (Jenzabar EX - Student Information System).
- Ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment.
- High attention to detail.
- Maintain college GPA that meets or exceeds the IVCCD Standards of Academic Progress.
