Iowa Select Farms is seeking highly motivated Nutrients Field Representatives to join our team and play a key role in nutrient management operations across our facilities.
This position is essential in coordinating soil and manure sampling, maintaining digital records, and working closely with landowners, tenants, and custom applicators to ensure accurate and compliant nutrient application. You’ll utilize GIS technology to manage field boundaries, develop application guidelines, and distribute informative maps to optimize nutrient distribution. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Iowa DNR CAFO rules and collaborating with field personnel to maximize nutrient benefits while protecting environmental resources. This is a full-time position that requires travel to various Iowa Select Farms facilities, with a company vehicle provided.
We’re looking for candidates with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, GIS, Biology, Agronomy, Precision Agriculture, or a related field. Extensive experience in manure application, nutrient management, or agriculture practices may be considered in lieu of a degree. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication and relationship skills, and proficiency in data management systems are essential for success in this role. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required, and familiarity with Iowa P-index and RUSLE2 calculations is a plus.
