What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Archery Coach position at Iowa City Community School District?
REPORTS TO: Supervising Coach and/or Building Principal
QUALIFICATIONS: As established by the Kentucky High School Athletic Association and Kentucky Department of Education (Class Code 7345)
DUTIES:
- Assist the coaches in daily and long range athletic activities;
- Assist the coaches in planning the program;
- Conduct learning experiences and demonstrate specific skills and tactics, under the direction of a coach, with small groups of athletes;
- Assist the coaches in guiding participants towards a harmonious team spirit;
- Alert the head coach to special needs of individual athletes;
- Provide escort assistance, and assist with supervision of athletes during periods of team travel;
- Recommend to the head coach the purchase of equipment, supplies, and uniforms as appropriate for the health, safety, and welfare of student athletes;
- Perform other non-coaching duties as assigned by the principal, athletic director, or head coach;
- No person other than an athletic coach shall be allowed to participate in any supervisory capacity with interscholastic athletic teams/cheerleading squads or perform any other coaching duty.
