Description Summary
To provide in-person instruction for the American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider new and renewal classes using lecture and hands on instruction/demonstration.
Examples of Duties
Constant (67-100%)
- Provide American Heart Association BLS training for students or employees in the health care industry.
- Possess the ability to organize and present various concepts to a wide range of students with varying background and abilities and adjust teaching techniques accordingly.
- Set and maintain safety standards and ensure they are followed.
Frequent (34-66%)
- Maintain & report proper documentation of training records.
- Ensure proper maintenance of the equipment and training aids.
- Request purchases for necessary equipment and materials.
- Ensure security of testing materials for program integrity.
Occasional (10-33%)
- Maintain instructor certification for AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
- Be willing to travel and transport equipment and training aids to and from instructional sites.
- Perform additional duties as assigned
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
Qualifications
Current American Heart Association (AHA) certification as a Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider instructor. Proof of instructor certification must be uploaded in application attachments. Must have reliable transportation to transport materials as needed.
