Description Summary
This individual will assist the grounds crew with mowing and landscaping up to 25 hours per week.
Examples of Duties
Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of campus grounds, including mowing, trimming, raking, and weeding.
Help with seasonal tasks such as snow removal, leaf collection, and applying ice melt to walkways.
Operate groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and utility vehicles.
Plant and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance campus aesthetics.
Perform general landscaping tasks including mulching, edging, and pruning.
Support set-up and tear-down for outdoor campus events as needed.
Ensure campus grounds are clean and safe by collecting trash and reporting hazards.
Assist in maintenance and repair of irrigation systems.
Follow all safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in grounds keeping and landscaping preferred; driver’s license with clean driving record; and ability to lift 70-80 pounds.
