Iowa Audio Video (IAV) is an established professional audio/visual integration firm specializing in the design and installation of state-of-the-art integrated AV systems for business environments. Based in Clive, Iowa, IAV serves clients throughout Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Nebraska, Colorado, and Wyoming. We are seeking to add a full-time professional to our team at our Clive, Iowa office.
Position Description
We are seeking a self-driven professional capable of providing integration consultation, system design, engineering, and project execution for advanced audiovisual systems. This role focuses on corporate boardrooms, conference and training spaces, houses of worship, and retail and hospitality environments. Core responsibilities include client consultation, system design and engineering, proposal development, and commissioning of completed systems.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building client relationships within a high-end design and service environment. A strong customer-service mindset is essential, along with excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills. Candidates should demonstrate a deep understanding of video conferencing systems, corporate AV environments, retail AV applications, display technologies, lighting and shading control systems, and network infrastructure.
A working knowledge of control system platforms such as QSC, Extron, AMX, or Crestron is required, with programming experience considered a strong advantage. Candidates must be capable of reading architectural and construction drawings, developing equipment lists, and creating basic signal flow diagrams. Experience with live sound applications, commercial construction practices (including power, conduit, and core drilling), and coordination with millwork and furniture elements is also expected.
Responsibilities
This position involves meeting with clients and project stakeholders—including architects, designers, and general contractors—to evaluate spaces and determine optimal AV solutions. Responsibilities include system design and specification, preparation of detailed scopes of work and proposals, and development of project estimates. The role also includes assisting with control system design and programming, commissioning and tuning advanced audio systems, and providing ongoing client support throughout the project lifecycle.
The successful candidate will work closely with the operations team to coordinate installations and ensure successful project delivery. Regular communication with clients, trade partners, and internal teams is required, along with participation in weekly sales and production meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry certifications such as CTS or CTS-I, along with manufacturer certifications from QSC, Extron, Biamp, or similar platforms, are highly valued. Experience with Q-SYS, Extron, or RTI programming, SynAudCon training, and familiarity with Solutions360 (Q360) design and quoting software are considered strong advantages.

This is a full-time, in-person position based in Clive, Iowa. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
