Position Summary
Iona University’s Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic (SLHC) is seeking a part-time Audiology Clinical Supervisor. This role supports pediatric and adult clients while mentoring Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) student clinicians through an interprofessional education (IPE) model. The position also focuses on developing community relationships to expand access to hearing services and strengthen the clinic’s presence within the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide audiologic services (screenings, evaluations, tympanometry, OAE, hearing aid support)
- Establish and maintain evidence-based audiology practices
- Supervise and mentor SLP student clinicians
- Collaborate with SLP supervisors for interdisciplinary care
- Develop community partnerships
- Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system
- Track SLP student audiology-related clinical experiences/hours
- Monitor and track audiology client census
- Adhere to HIPAA and professional standards
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) required
- New York State Audiology License required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) preferred
- 2–3 years of clinical experience (pediatric experience preferred)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to mentorship and interprofessional education
Preferred
- Experience in a teaching clinic or academic setting
- Interest in program development and growth of audiology services
- Experience working with diverse populations across the lifespan
