Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Audiologist based in Staten Island, NY. The Audiologist will be responsible for conducting hearing assessments, diagnosing hearing and balance disorders, and recommending appropriate treatment plans. Additional responsibilities include fitting and programming hearing aids, providing patient counseling, and educating patients on effective hearing management practices. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals and ongoing professional development are integral parts of this role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in hearing assessments, diagnosing hearing and balance disorders, and recommending treatment plans
- Pediatric evaluations including threshold ABR
- Experience in fitting and programming hearing aids and other assistive listening devices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient counseling and education
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and coordinate with other healthcare professionals
- Doctorate in Audiology (AuD) or equivalent degree, with licensure in the state of New York
- Commitment to continual learning and staying updated on the latest audiology advancements and technologies
- Experience in pediatric, adult, and geriatric audiology is a plus
- Knowledge of providing culturally-sensitive care to a diverse patient population
