Iona University, an NCAA Division I institution and a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Assistant Softball Coach. This is a full-time, 12-month position and reports to the Head Coach.
The Assistant Coach for Softball assists the Head Coach in the planning and operation of all aspects of the softball program at Iona University. This includes planning and preparing for practice, all competitions, and providing input on player evaluation and other decisions concerning team operations. In addition, the Assistant Coach will actively support the scouting of opponents and the breakdown of our own performances.
The Assistant Coach also has both on- and off-campus recruiting responsibilities, to identify, encourage and evaluate application and acceptance of student athletes at Iona. NCAA and University policies as assigned by the head coach. The Assistant Coach, will play a key role in the development of our program culture and identity.

Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree required
- Credentials should reflect proven success in coaching, recruiting, and working with student athletes
- Knowledgeable of NCAA rules and regulations
- Must be highly motivated with an outstanding work ethic
- Collegiate coaching experience preferred, especially in NCAA Division I
