Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation and reliability of trading systems, ensuring continuous and stable performance.
- Develop and refine automation tools to improve operational workflows, reduce manual effort, and increase accuracy.
- Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues, from network protocols to in-house applications, prioritising resolution to minimise downtime.
- Collaborate with development teams to enhance system robustness and introduce innovative solutions.
- Manage and coordinate system updates and changes within a global framework, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Support the team during on-call rotations, providing expert assistance when required.
- Contribute to broader initiatives that support operational and strategic goals.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven ability to develop and deploy applications using Python, demonstrating solid design and implementation skills.
- Strong proficiency with Linux operating systems and a sound understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with a self-motivated approach to solving complex problems.
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in a technical field such as computer science or engineering.
- Previous experience supporting electronic trading or financial systems is highly advantageous.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with data visualization tools e.g Grafana.
- Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Bitbucket.
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Windows 11 environments.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles relevant to operational settings.
- Ability to work proactively and build trust quickly within a fast-paced trading environment.
