MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Enters samples into the LIMS as received.
· Responsible for all 3rd party (outsource) testing activities
· Works with Quality Assurance to assure laboratory specifications are correct.
· Prepares and ships samples to outsource testing laboratories as needed.
· Reviews sample logbooks for accuracy.
· Enters testing requirements into LIMS as directed by management per documented specifications.
· Logs and trends ad hoc samples as requested per designated form.
· Assists in the compiling of laboratory meta-data such as testing metrics.
· Assists in administrative assignments as directed by QA Management as needed.
· Accountable for the integrity of data reported.
· Accountable for developing and tracking KPI of outsource samples and outsource lab scorecard.
· Compile and track list of outsource costs
· Track outsource budget and spend.
· Assist with shipping and finished good list.
· Proper use and care of equipment and materials issued to work area.
· Assist with enforcing food safety program and procedures, GMP policy, and personnel hygiene policies
· Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to perform all tasks defines above with excellent follow through.
· Must have a working knowledge of computers, office equipment, calculator, telephone, and various word processing and spreadsheets software.
· Must speak, read, and write English effectively to communicate verbally and in writing with every department, as well as outside contacts.
· Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
· Ability to record information by hand on various documents.
· Ability to interpret and calculate lab reports.
· Work well under pressure.
· Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
· Ability to deal with a variety of interpersonal situations, solve practical problems and deal with variable business situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms.
· Good time management and organizational skills; initiative and desire to take on new tasks.
· Ability to handle multiple priorities and special request/changes. Must be able to get along well with workers at all levels. This position requires utmost tact and diplomacy. Due to the nature of the information handle, this position requires strict confidentiality.
WORK CONDITIONS
1. Subject to various means of transportation (train, plane, and bus, automobile).
2. Subject to normal office environment but must be in the production areas on occasion. These areas may include the following conditions: as fumes from the machines, fumes odors, powders, dust and other particles.
3. Subject to high noise levels where hearing protection may be required.
