Description
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Performs Line Clearances of the production lines.
- Performs all checks outlined in the batch production records such as verifying batching, weighing, packaging, X-Ray and waste recording (as applicable) for each Lot.
- Reports any discrepancies or non-compliance conditions to the Quality Supervisor.
- Issues labels for bulk packaging to Production, as needed.
- Coordinate in sampling and retention of raw materials.
- Responsible for hold and release of incoming raw materials and finished products.
- Responsible for the maintenance of logs such as cleaning and calibration logs as assigned by the Quality Supervisor.
- Responsible for performing ATP Verification tests, when needed.
- Responsible for enforcing GMPs, safety and sanitation standards and any other assigned task by Quality Supervisor.
- Responsible for following the assigned Food Safety guidelines set by the FDA and all other certifying authorities such as, SQF, NFC and Orthodox Union, at all times and contributing to the plant’s Food Safety Culture.
- Assist in the absence of QC tech, when needed and requested by the Quality Supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:
- HS degree or GED equivalent
- Minimum Experience required:
- Entry level experience in quality with 6 months to 1 year of experience
- Familiarity with GMP & batch records with some computer skills
- Minimum of 6 months years with pick & pack in a fast-paced environment
- Food Handlers card required
- Skills Required:
- Excellent communication, written and grammatical skills
- Ability to read, speak and write in English
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, (Excel, Word, etc)
- Proven success with working in a team environment
- Additional Information
- Exposure to food allergens, wheat, nuts, coconut, soy products
- May work overtime
- Pay:
- Base pay is $16.00 per hour plus shift differential if applicable. Non-exempt
