Construction Project Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage K-12 construction projects throughout the Southeast. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in educational facility construction and be adept at managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation to completion. This role requires excellent communication skills to coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.

This is a remote position but the candidate must be willing to travel to job sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Initiation: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Regulatory Compliance: Obtain all necessary permits and ensure projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Resource Management: Procure and manage necessary supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Team Coordination: Oversee and coordinate the activities of on-site construction managers, subcontractors, and other personnel.
• Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns promptly.
• Budget and Schedule Management: Monitor project expenditures, track progress against schedules, and implement corrective actions as needed to meet financial and timeline objectives.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets or exceeds company standards and client expectations.
• Safety Oversight: Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of project management experience in the construction industry, with a preference for experience in educational facility projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while effectively collaborating with a dispersed team.
