The Grants & Fundraising Specialist is a key member of the InVision operations team responsible for researching funding opportunities, writing and managing grant proposals, and securing charitable contributions from individuals, corporations, and foundations. This position leads efforts to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors, ensuring sustainable philanthropic support for the organization’s mission. The role combines strong research, writing, relationship building, and project management skills to grow contributed revenue.

Essential Functions
- Research, identify, and evaluate grant and funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, government entities, and other donors including operating grants, project grants, matching gifts, and in-kind contributions.
- Write, prepare, and submit compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documentation in alignment with funder requirements and organizational priorities.
- Manage the full grant lifecycle, including applications, tracking deadlines, interim and final reports, and compliance requirements.
- Develop and implement fundraising and donor engagement strategies to secure gifts from individual, corporate, and foundation donors.
- Conduct prospect research to identify and qualify new donors and funding opportunities.
- Cultivate and steward donor relationships through personalized communication, acknowledgements, and engagement activities.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to identify, solicit, and steward major donors and funding partners.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of donor interactions, grants, and gifts.
- Work with Marketing and Communications staff to develop fundraising and grant related materials, including appeals, reports, acknowledgements, and stewardship communications.
- Assist in the development of annual fundraising goals and budget and prepare giving and grant reports as needed.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising and grant activities and recommend improvements.
- Support donor engagement and fundraising activities, including events, mailings, outreach, and research projects.
- Preform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development.
- Demonstrated success in securing grant funding and charitable donations.
- Proven track record of successful grant writing and fundraising.
- Strong research, writing, and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects independently.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse donors and stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed for donor meetings and stewardship activities.
- Appreciation for and understanding diverse communities and audiences.
